In continuation of my confidential despatch

of 14th January, 1935, I have the honour to forward particulars of two further consignments of arms exported from the United States and destined for Canton without, so

far as is known here, the sanction of the Chinese Government.

Contracts made in Canton prior to the date

of shipment from the United States have been produced to the Police Department here, and establish the right of the arms to "in transit" status so far as Hong Kong is concerned.
